Getting my ears pierced part 2

This is the second part of my blog, if you haven't read the first part,  please do so before proceeding.
My mother had then told me this process would more painful than doing it at the store, so I would want to numb my ear with some ice before she pierced them. I go down to my kitchen and get two ice packs. I numb the front of my ear for about 10 minutes and then the back for another 10 minutes. My ears are very cold and red from all the ice. I go to my mom and ask her if it's now time or if I should keep numbing my ear lobe. She tells me maybe another five minutes to make sure they're really numb. My sister says I should try using ice cubes because it would work much better, so I go downstairs again to my kitchen and get some ice cubes and two sheets of paper towels to hold the ice against my ear so my fingers wouldn't get frostbite or something. I go up back to my room and clean my ear lobes the best I can with a disinfecting solution my mom had. I then disinfect a small pair of diamond earrings I have and go to my mother with everything. At this point, I can feel the ice thawing on my ear and I need to be quick. I lay my head on a table my mom has and she quickly finds a place for the earring and pokes the very tip of it in my ear and asks my sister if this spot is good. My sister says that is perfect and my mom counts to three. When she gets to three, she slowly pushes the needle in my ear and then asks my sister to put the backing of the earring onto the earring. My mom asks if that hurt and I didn't even notice she was done. It didn't hurt at all! I then lay my head on the other side so my  mom can pierce other Ear. This ear tended to swell up when the needle was mid-way in so it looks like one earring is closer than the other. Now till this day, my ear is fine, no pain, no infection, nothing harmful. However, my friend Sanaz, might have an infection so be careful if you're reading this and want to get your ears pierced! The end.
